Year 10 Photography Excursion to CCP in Fitzroy

In order for the Year 10 Photography students to experience a more practical and experiential learning, we were taken to the Centre for Contemporary Photography in Fitzroy on the 2nd of May. It was truly a wonderful experience where we were able to see the works of some great photographers such as Clause Cahun, Clare Rae and Christine McFetridge. Not only were we able to see their photographs, we also toured around the lively bohemian suburb of Fitzroy and took our own photographs. We were able to see some artists and understanding graffiti in the streets, as well as opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of our topic this term, the urban landscape. Afterwards, we were served some delicious lunch at the Vege Bar and we never knew that vegetarian food could taste so good. All in all, it was a fun and educational experience.
